Originally created in 2001, Open Studios was coordinated through the Open Studio Artists Collective in the Marigny and Bywater to generate awareness of artists within those neighborhoods.

Our goal with N.O.L.A. Open Studos is to revitalize this event as an annual exhibition of local artists in New Orleans to showcase the diverse work being created and showcase the unique neighborhoods and spaces the work is created in.

The event offer arts patrons and enthusiasts the opportunity to visit one-on-one with the artist in their studio, ateliers or alternative spaces discussing the artistic process and viewing the art in the environment in which it is made.
